In this role, you will apply your real-world, expert insight to help our customers successfully navigate the complexities of biologic, protein, peptide, ADC, and/or biomarker bioanalysis. This role is the singular scientific expert and main contact for our clients through every stage of the project lifecycle. You are also a teacher, mentor and coach to the BioAgilytix project team providing day-to-day leadership both in and out of the lab. Our clients trust us to deliver accurate and reliable results, and this role provides the critical project leadership and continuity they expect. Our clients depend on us to provide solutions, on time and on budget, as a result of their continued relationships with our Bioanalytical Project Management (BPMs) and quality of the team’s work.

  • Design and oversee the execution of development, validation, and sample analysis of biologics, proteins, peptides, ADCs, and/or biomarkers using various techniques including chromatographic and mass spectrometric assays (LC/MS) for support of preclinical, clinical and product release studies. Extensive experience in mass spectrometry for bioanalysis is required.
  • Partner closely with clients to ensure successful on time execution of deliverables
  • Manage and lead the team (scientists, analysts, and project management) supporting client solutions, modeling collaboration and teamwork



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than ten (10) years' experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or MS or PhD with equivalent experience
  • Ability to develop chromatographic and mass spectrometric assays including LC/MS and LC/MS/MS for bioanalytical studies by extracting analytes of interest from complex biological matrices using protein precipitation, liquid-liquid, solid phase, immunoprecipitation or other extraction technique
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a people management role and leading teams; exhibit active interest in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to do their best work and drive results
  • Ability to establish, maintain and deepen working relationships through strong written and spoken communication
  • Ability to consult with a long-term perspective in addressing customers’ (both internal and external) needs and issues with an intent to strengthen their business
  • Thorough knowledge of industry best practices of experimental planning and design
  • Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
  • Advanced capabilities in data analysis and data visualization statistical analysis

Working Environment

  • Routinely laboratory/clinical environment and office work
  • Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
  • Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials, and hazardous waste
  • Personal protective equipment required, such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves
  • Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme noise on rare occasions
  • Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups and clients
  • Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals
  • Mentor and coach a team of scientists and analysts; main point of contact for project teams and clients

    • Ability to access and use a variety of mass spectrometers and computer software for instrument control and data analysis
    • Ability to perform under stress and multi-task
    • May need to move a gas cylinder when facilities resources are not available
    • Regular and consistent attendance

      Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

      • This is a full-time position
      • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
      • Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work required
