At Milestones Trust, we understand that to build the right support for a person we need to understand their individual needs and wants and to adapt how we do things to reflect their changing circumstances and desires as they progress through life.
Join our Supported Living service in Manor Road and help us support 4 young adults on their journey to independence and empower each individual to navigate the world.
Supporting people on their personal journeys to find work, love, make and manage friendships, to be a part of the community and with life skills, such as learning to cook a spaghetti bolognese from scratch, and so much more…
We are looking for part time to staff to work regular shifts starting at 4pm, working until 11pm, sleeping in and then working from 7am to 12pm.
During your shift you may be talking about healthy relationships and signposting to social and dating groups. Supporting someone to manage their bills and understand their benefits. You will be lone working but still very much a part of a team of passionate support workers, seeing the people we support grow as individuals.
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include responding to the needs of the people we support, being proactive in supporting people to achieve their goals and understanding the principles of person centred care.
The successful Support Worker will be courageous in your approach, adaptable and creative, empowering and be able to lone work and think on your feet.
In return we offer excellent, high quality learning opportunities, including the opportunity to undertake a level 3 or 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Alongside this, other benefits include:
- 30 days Annual Leave Entitlement
- Access to an Employee Discount Platform from Day 1, with discounts and cash back for hundreds of retailers.
- Refer a Friend Scheme earning you up to £750
- Company Pension
- Job Satisfaction
- Generous Occupational Maternity/Paternity pay
- Learning and development opportunities for you to build your career
- Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of £695 cash back for health treatments e.g. Dental, Therapies, Optical, Maternity/Paternity, NHS Prescriptions etc.
We pride ourselves with being able to offer staff opportunities to develop and progress their careers within the Trust.
