Job Description

  • Provision of management to the Retail Systems team.
  • Management of support partner engagement for corporate retail systems including the Order&Pay application
  • Producing clear management information on the performance of the team
  • Provision of support and development capability for EPOS till and menu management solution
  • Accountable for the workload planning and resource allocation, working with the Planning & Governance team to ensure that prioritised deliverables are resourced within budget / headcount
  • Deliver a continuous improvement plan, recognising innovation and promoting opportunities
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and driving innovation within the service
  • Lead the technical delivery of the Retail systems roadmap
  • Accountable for the team adherence to corporate and IT processes
  • Producing and managing personal development plans for all established members of the team.

Person Specification

  • Ability to motivate and drive high standards within the team
  • Experience in leading and coaching a retail systems team
  • A good understanding of financial business processes pertaining to retail systems
  • Ability to champion best practise and implement process improvements whilst continuing to deliver services
  • A good understanding of project and delivery methodologies
  • Ability to drive innovation and challenge ‘the norm’, resulting in improved processes and/or solutions
  • Ability to manage 3rd parties against SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Proven track record of being able to articulate corporate and departmental strategies and objectives clearly within the team, ensuring deliverable alignment
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and drive service improvement, aligned with business processes / requirements
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication and people skills are essential
