Role overview: 
As Lead Application Support Engineer, you play a critical role in helping leverage core business systems to support the delivery of Tes’ systems and overall business strategy. You report into the Head of Business Systems.
On a day-to-day basis, you lead a team of Application Support Engineers, who are either permanent members of the Applications Team and/or contract resources. You will also have line management responsibilities for members of your team.
You will be responsible for delivery of the applications Roadmap and will be expected to take on the role of technical lead in key business systems projects. You will gather requirements, design solutions, manage the pipeline of work for the team, and organize regular meetings with the team to stay on track. 
Your internal customers come from various divisions within Tes, and, as such you will be expected to balance priorities and liaise with different departments to establish and maintain expectations.

What will you need to succeed? 
  • Demonstrable experience of team leadership.
  • Wide range of business system configuration experience
  • Experience of migrating users from legacy to new Cloud systems
  • Supporting less experienced/ technical colleagues
  • Experience of working in technology (SaaS) or Education sectors, desirable
  • Experience of integrating new cloud based systems via integration platforms, web based APIs, ideally RESTful APIs.
