In this role, you will apply your real-world, expert insight to help our customers successfully navigate the complexities of large molecule bioanalysis. This role is the singular scientific expert and main contact for our clients through every stage of the project lifecycle. You are also a teacher, mentor and coach to the BioAgilytix project team providing day-to-day leadership both in and out of the lab. Our clients trust us to deliver accurate and reliable results, and this role provides the critical project leadership and continuity they expect. Our clients depend on us to provide solutions, on time and on budget, as a result of their continued relationships with our BPMs and quality of the team’s work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and oversee the execution of development, validation, and sample analysis of biologics, proteins, peptides, small molecules, and/or biomarkers, using various techniques including chromatographic (LC/MS), cell-based, immunogenicity, immunoassays, and/or enzymatic assays for support of preclinical, clinical and product release studies
  • Partner closely with clients to ensure successful on time execution of deliverables
  • Manage and lead the team (scientists, analysts, and study coordinators) supporting client solutions, modeling collaboration and teamwork

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Skills

  • Ability to establish, maintain and deepen working relationships through strong written and spoken communication
  • Ability to consult with a long-term perspective in addressing customers’ (both internal and external) needs and issues with an intent to strengthen their business
  • Thorough knowledge of industry best practices of experimental planning and design
  • Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
  • Advanced capabilities in data analysis and data visualization statistical analysis
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a people management role and leading teams; exhibit active interest in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to do their best work and drive results

Competencies and Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than ten (10) years' experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or Master’s or PhD. with equivalent experience
  • Ability to develop cell-based and/or immuno- assays in some or all of the following platforms:
    • Immunoassay: ELISA, MSD-ECL, RIA, DELFIA, HTRF, and AlphaScreen
    • Cell-based: Cell reporter assays, cell viability assays, cell second messenger assays
  • Ability to develop chromatographic assays including LC/MS by extracting analytes of interest from complex biological matrices using protein precipitation, liquid-liquid, solid phase, immunoprecipitation or other extraction technique
