Senior Financial Analyst, Operations
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a primary business partner, this role creates value for the organization by providing financial and analytical support for several manufacturing facilities in North America. You will be an economic thinker and will provide actionable manufacturing analysis, cost analysis and benchmark reporting, and be able to identify and implement process improvements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key business partner to Plant Manager and facility leadership teams
- Report and analyze monthly results and trends
- Provide analytical support on capital and major expense projects
- KPI and cost benchmarking/bet tracking and analysis
- Planning and forecasting ownership
- Ad hoc analysis
- Consolidate and standardize reporting activities
- Provide input and recommendations for process improvements
- Cross-knowledge sharing and support for the Analyst team
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
- Previous experience in a role(s) with a focus on financial analysis, accounting, strategy and/or economic modeling
- Understanding of key accounting and financial concepts, business drivers and key performance indicators
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
- Experience with ERP and integrated accounting system experience
- Advanced or higher-level MS Excel skills (pivot tables and reporting, working with macros, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
- Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau)
- Manufacturing industry experience (chemical products a plus)
- Cost analytics experience and/or financial modeling experience
- Familiarity with the use of NPV, IRR, ROI and other valuation metrics
- Experience working with a large volume of data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders
- Process Improvement / Process Transformation / Process Implementation experience
- Previous roles with heavy ad hoc analysis requirements
- Ability to travel up to 20%, including overnight stays
