Job Summary:
 

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is primarily responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance and construction activities, ensuring that maintenance and project work is carried out in a safe, environmentally compliant, effective, and efficient way.  This associate is the primary liaison between operations, maintenance, and engineering groups and maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done.  The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will work with the Maintenance Team Leader to meet budget requirements, will serve in a team coaching capacity, and is responsible for the productivity, prioritization, and completion of all work requests to ensure the site meets its performance objectives.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and promotes EHS procedures and policies in the maintenance planning process and its execution
  • Prepares job plans to maximize resource utilization by identifying parts, materials, tools, external resources, rentals, and any documentation required in the planning process to execute work orders
  • Provides relevant information to Maintenance stores for kitting process to increase maintenance team tool time
  • Collaborates with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Scheduler to plan day-to-day manpower and resources
  • Ability to develop plans to meet ever-changing demands and priorities
  • Reports progress of daily workload and enables weekly schedule adjustments as necessary
  • Ensures all work for the job is complete and equipment is returned to operations
  • Routinely follows up with maintenance team members ensuring WOs are closed in SAP system within defined metrics
  • Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjust maintenance schedule as required
  • Responsible for replacement-in-kind equipment sourcing and works with preferred vendors to better equipment improvement through services, cost, lead time, and quality

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience, chemical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
  • Planning capacity for coordination of multidisciplinary work
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well and communicate with staff at all company levels
  • IT knowledge and experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings (P&ID, PFD, and Isometrics)
  • Must have or meet requirements for a TWIC card

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have or meet requirements for a TWIC card
  • Walking, driving, standing, lifting 55 pounds repeatedly, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing
  • Ability to enter confined spaces and wear a respirator
